Hey all,

I am about to apply for eTA and there is a question as below on the form for which I need some help

Funds available for travel to Canada
Explanation says: From the list, select the option that best describes the amount of money (in Canadian dollars) that you expect to have with you on your first trip to Canada.

My question is do I need to write the amount that I will be carrying with me when I go to Canada or do I need to write the total amount that I have in my bank?

If I need to write the amount that I will be carrying with me to Canada, then what would be suggested amount for a 6-8 weeks visit?

Do they allow you to upload any attachments/files during online application?

Thanks for your help

You simply just have to say how much you will be taking with you/how much funds you will have available.
There is no need for an exact number, just an estimate and it gives you drop down options of intervals of amounts.

Unless they ask you to provide proof of funds then there is no need for exact amounts or to provide further proof.
