Maybe I am the only one going through Rome Visa Office. :o :D

I'm going through Rome too. I thought I was the only one. I'm a July 2013 applicant an have no updates as of yet. So I'm sorry I can't help you.

What's your timeline?

Hi can/alb,

Is good to know that we are not alone. I think the Rome VO seem to be working fairly quick :D

My wife and I received our first Email from Rome VO on Monday, July 15, 2013 asking for some documents, and that was all. Now we are waiting patiently from them to response, actually this is the only thing that we can do ;)

Good to know Rome is working quickly :)

Looks like good new is coming to you very soon if the asked for the payment! Did that ask for passport too? And what's ARC?

I'm still new to all of this lol. Where do you live now and where in Canada are you headed? I'm in toronto and I'm sponsoring my husband from Albania. I can't stand all this waiting but I'm going to try to be patient and go visit him soon.

Good luck to you. It won't be too long now :)

can/alb,

We hope the good news will come soon.

My wife and I paid all the fees up front. The VO didn't ask for my passport yet.

The ARC means Authorization to Return to Canada, and this document is require when someone has been the subject of a removal order from Canada, for example when someone overstayed in Canada.

I am from Colombia, living with my Canadian/Greek wife in Greece, Europe. We will be hopefully moving close to Toronto, more exact in Burlington City. I think is a good idea that you go to visit your husband as much as you can, this would help with your process.

Good luck to you as well and don't forgot patience is a bitter root tree that bears fruit very sweet.

I met my husband in Greece. I love it there!! It's good you get to be with your wife while you processing. I wish I could move to my hubby during the process but I can't leave my kids and my job. And he has been denied visit visa :(. So yes I just have to be as patient as i can.

:)

My wife and I have been living in Crete, one of the biggest island in Greece, since March 2012 and this place is definitely beautiful. We like it in here, the Greek life style can be great but because the of crisis we have chosen to move back to Canada.

One of the things that I like the most is the Cretan food, especially fish :)

Hello there friends!

I am Greek Canadian living in Thessaloniki but because my wife is from FYROM we are going through the slowest VO in the planet. VIENNA!
I kinda envy you people that Rome is expediting your apps so fast. ;) ;)
Vienna so far has not given a single COPR to any applicant from 2013 even to some from 2012 as well.

Rome applicants do not have a thread here in the forum simply because there was never a need for one! Nice?

All the best to you and pls pray for us Vienna applicants

Dear Tom (messenger)

My wife and I feel sorry for you guys (Vienna VO), specially for those who have been waiting for long time, but the good time will come soon, that is for sure.

My dear friend Tom, no worries, we are not alone in this process, God will give us good news soon :)

Το θέλημα του Θεού

I hear Crete is beautiful. I went to Santorini and it was the nicest place I've ever seen. I will defiantly be going back a few more times in my life.

Tom no worries, just think that you an enjoy Greece with your wife for a little longer ;).

Same as you cbn cdn. Enjoy it there with your wife as soon you'll be in Canada with your whole life ahead of you :)

Soon our prayer will come true. Until then enjoy and be patient. Lol I know it's hard because I have to tell myself this everyday!!

Thank you can/alb and Cbn Cdn

I wouldn't mind waiting for more time if I could only see a sign of life from Vienna! C'est La vie!

Unfortunately the austerity here in Greece is driving the people to seek out places where at least they can earn a decent life. Money is not everything for me but a peaceful existence with security and dignity!
Many Greek Canadians who came back to Greece so many years ago are now on their way back to Canada!

Truth is I am still in Greece soon to be in Canada but I am already homesick. Go figure!

Thanks again for all your kind words

Tom

Dear Tom,

With unemployment still abysmally high, the Greek economy is crashing greeks dreams for their children to live a better life. So this is why most young are leaving their families for good.

This crisis has been affecting us (my wife and I) as well. For us is difficult to stay on "holidays" all time (Like I always say, "This is a long vacation"). Now our saving are getting lower and lower. Imagine having a hole in your pocket. And the worst part is that we are unable to find work, "unfortunately".

So, let's keep praying for a prompt response from our Visa Offices.

Hola amigo. Como estas?

I do have the feeling that we spoke in the past here too and I had told you that I visited your beautiful country twice in the past 4 years!
I have work. We took much pay cut but money is still not too bad. My bosses hate to see me go! (I gave them notice) But I am doing it for my unborn baby (3 more weeks to go) and mostly for my self because my country has betrayed my dreams and my hopes. All I need is to wake up in the morning knowing that the laws and the system has not changed overnight! I will have to fight for my bread in Canada too and I do not expect a handout. But at least I will know what to expect day to day!

Sorry If I troubled your thoughts! :) :)

Tom

Mi buen amigo Tom.. Gracias por tu mensaje :)

I am the same one you spoke before LOL

My wife and I understand your troubles. In our case, she had invite me to come to Greece with good hopes and dreams, so we understand your point of view.

I told my wife what you do and she said that Ontario has a lot of casinos (OLG: Ontario Casinos and Gambling), and she thinks it is government run, so the wages are quite good (+ benefits).

We hope your little baby comes soon to bring you happiness. The rest, God willing, will also be coming soon..!! :)
