hi everyone...

to make it short... its a great forum with rich info that i wasn't aware of before sending my application

stright to the point:

i am lost :D... l need to know all the details of what happens after sending the application and more.. but i cant get to one topic that explains it all.... info are spread out everywhere.. and i end up opening 10+ topics containing 20+ replies !!!

what is AOR.. what is CHC... am really confused.. can somebody help pointing to an old topic or something?

Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)
Canadian High Commissions (CHC)

In Federal Skilled Worker:
1) You send your initial application to Nova Scotia
2) Then hopefully if they approve it, thy issue you an initial AOR
3) Then you send full documents to CHC
4) They issue you another AOR
5) Then you have to wait until they ask for an interview, or waive the interview and ask for Medical documents
6) You do medical tests and send results
7) If approved, then you are asked to submit your passport so that they give your Permanent Residence and issue the visa

thanks mbastudies

but still i want to know it all... seems many ppl here know lots of info that is not available on cic.gc.ca

can somebody who was here long enough to point an old topic that explains it all..

would highly appreciate this.....

oh ok.. so ur reply triggers now many questions :)

assuming there is not topic explains all these details, here is my questinos:

1. in which format will i get the AOR? email?.. or by mail...

2. what about full documentation?... and i have to send it to where? sydney or the local visa office (in my case london)

3. what the hell is the Canadian High Commissions (CHC).. i didnt see it anywhere in the cic.gc.ca docs !!!!!!!

those are what i have no...

again .. thanks alot mbastudies :)

ok.. so far so good... i knew lots and lots of info in this great forum...

remaining one question which i already asked.. can somebody tell me what are the docs to be sent to CHC later on?

i assume they will include:

-IELTS original test results
-copy of the application?.. (i guess i need to keep a copy of the application before sending to CIO, or maybe they will return it to me)
-original Reference letter from employer(s)
-true copy of university certificate

what else?

1. By email. That's how CIC normally do it these days. They are going to send you your first AOR if ever they find you to be qualified.

2. Your full application will be sent to your local visa office, in your case LONDON. The instruction is included in the letter that you will get by email from the CIC.

3. Canadian High Commission pertains to the consulate of Canada. Say for example, High Commission of Canada in London. In a way, that refers to your local visa office.

If you have a question, all you need to do is open your own thread and the community here will try to answer it to the best of their knowledge. Each thread here is case specific and hardly you will find a more generic topic so you really need to start your own.
