Hi guys, I received an ITA on Dec 22 but my friend pointed out there might be a problem with my claims on educational points. I have a Bachelor of Commerce from a Canadian University and a Bachelor of Economics from foreign country. The two degrees are at the same level. Do they count as "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees" with 128 points?

My total years of study is four. I completed two years of study in my home country and transferred to the Canadian university and got a Canadian degree. Then I transferred third and fourth year credits to the foreign university and got the foreign degree. Do I still qualify as "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees"?

I might need to decline the ITA if I got it wrong. Thanks guys...

so you have two separate degrees and an ECA done for the foreign degree ?

Yes, two degree papers from two universities, ECA done for foreign degree. I'm just afraid the fact that I got the degrees thru credit transfer might make CIC think they count as one.

how do you think would CIC notice that ? is this explicitly mentioned on one of your degrees ?

Because I filled in Sep 2010 - Aug 2012 for the foreign university and Sep 2012 - Dec 2014 for the Canadian university. Those are the actual periods that I studied in each university. I plan to tell CIC in the explanation letter how I transferred credits to obtain two degrees within four years just in case they question my credentials.

Nothing special is mentioned on the degrees. My two degrees are printed in the standard form that other students get.

yes , just explain this to CIC on LOE and they will make a decision based on that .

question : so you have a degree based on Sep 2010 - Aug 2012 for the foreign university and you have an ECA for that degree ?

The degree is based on Sep 2010 - Aug 2012 study plus third and fourth year credits transferred from Cdn university. My ECA certifies "Credential: Bachelor of Economics; Program: Four-year undergraduate program in economics". So I think that should be okay right?
