My travel from Colombo to Toronto had 2 transits; 1. Mumbai to Amsterdam, 2. Amsterdam to Toronto. My transit from Mumbai to Amsterdam via KLM got refused in Mumbai Airport, stating that my Visa is not valid and needs to be revalidated. I got my Visa stamped last week (January 03 2024) and collected my Passport afterwards. The Visa is a multiple entry visitor visa and it is valid till 2029.
The KLM representatives (Customer Service officers) in Mumbai took my Passport, Boarding passes and kept me waiting for more than 3 hours and replied me back saying that my transit has been refused and I won't be able to fly to Canada today, and have to go back to the Canadian Embassy in Sri Lanka and to get the Visa revalidated. What does this mean? Even though I had my Valid Passport, Visa and related Documents with me, my transit was refused and forced to go to Colombo.
