Hi,

Today my application is returned saying that it is not complete.

On Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344), there is a section for signatures. Sponsor needs to sign. Co signor if needed. Then the main applicant needs to sign.

My wife did not sign because I was under the impression that as per the notes above, if you are immigrating to QUEBEC, she does not need to sign.

They returned the application saying this signature (of the main applicant) is required. Did I understand it incorrectly? Even if I am sponsoring for Quebec, this signature is required?

Please help. I am going to call CIC on Monday and will get this signature if reuireed.

Thanks,

You still have to sign the end of the form.

If you look at the declaration above the signature, you'll see there are parts that apply to all provinces and parts that apply to all provinces except Quebec.

If someone from outside of Quebec signs - all sections apply to them.

If someone from Quebec signs - only the sections that apply to all provinces apply to them.

Regardless - you still have to sign. Since you didn't, your application was unfortunately incomplete.

Maybe I blundered. So the signature from my wife is required, right?

I as the sponsor signed but my wife as the main applicant did not sign. Remember she actually signs the quebec undertaking.

The heading for the sponsored person (main applicant) clearly says it applies to all provinces except Quebec.

Thanks,
