Dear all,

I am regular visitor to this forum and want to congratulate this wonderful forum who have helped millions in solving migration related queries and confusions .

My query is as follows: :

My family consisting of Me ,my husband and 2 year old son migrated to Canada on skilled worker PR in Oct 2007. We stayed there for 1.5 months and both got good jobs and came back native to attend a marriage function in family however due to certain inevitable circumstances could not go back since then.

My minor son is keen to live in Canada however we are unable to go there due to our family reasons and we might lose PR status shortly .

Requested help and advise on how can my son PR can be saved so that he can go there once he is adult and he should not losse his PR becuase of our mistake /fault ?

Note :After we left Canada we got a letter asking for re photograph of minor son due to unclear picture reason hence he is not in possessing of PR card however he has SIN and we both have PR cards

Regards,Lily :)

Once he is 18-19 years old, he can apply for a PR travel document in order to return to Canada. He would give as a reason that he was removed from Canada as a minor by his parents through no fault of his own. He has a very good chance to keep his PR.

thankyou so much leon for your helping advice!
What are the circumstances /documents which shall better prove his claim that time since we don't have any knowledge on this?
Also will our(parents ) circumstances of not allowing him to go there will help him or have negtive impact on it ?

Best Regards,
Lily

He doesn't need any other reasons than that he was a minor child when he got his PR and left Canada with his parents and at the time he is applied, he is doing it first chance after reaching adulthood.

If you want to try to save your own PR and you have been outside Canada all this time taking care of your or your spouses sick parents, you can get evidence of their illness and try to apply for a travel document for yourselves once the situation with the parents is cleared up.

thanks a lot leon. I salute your knowledge and advice!

what are the documents required for proving parents sickness since neither we or doctor has any idea on this?

Is only Medical certificate with period of sickness and type of sickness shall suffice the purpose?

I think you need a statement from the doctor describing their illness, since when they are ill and how their situation has been since you started caring for them and preferably that they were unable to take care of themselves in some way and that they needed you there.
