Help required and Opinions required

So i have been in Canada for for about a year plus, my study permit was to expire on April 30th i got denied the extention on the 30th of June after wards i was having financial problems and as such i couldn't finish and submit as due to the following reasons : i was changing from a one year post secondary degree to a University degree of which i was still awaiting my letter of offer and i had been having financial problems (i had paid the school fees) and i ended up overstaying in Canada for about 25 days .
I am wondering if i would apply for a new one what are the odds that i will get approve if i apply from my home country and If it would be a better idea to just apply somewhere else and forget about Canada for now.

A 25 day overstay isn't that long. Provided you can explain why you want to continue your education in Canada, show you have more than enough funds and convince CIC you are still a genuine student - you certainly have a chance of being approved.

I would also like to state that the reason for the denial of the renewal was due uploading the wrong or the previous documnet and a mistake on my part .I went to an imigration agency in my country yesterday i was told by an individual that i would that it might not be possible the to do that and also do i need to get an imigration lawyer if i have further problems as while i was in canada i was told i would be possible for this to get resolved but i believe that won't be a good idea as it might cause some ideas for me in the future and as such i made the decision to come back and apply for a new stuty permit and visa

I have check various websites, contacted different individuals and firms and i haven't seen or heard of anyone with an almost or exact problem as i have now about the 25 days overstay. Well the reason for wanting to school in canada are My home country (Nigeria ) the i have a brother currently schooling in Canada, i plan to accompany him there, the Educational system has been pretty bad here for Government schools as there people who still in school for 6 years on a 4 year program due to strike, I believe if i Can't continue my education in canada it would take some time to adjust and get accustomed to my new school ( as i am planing on going to australia if it doesn't work out ) . Also my sister plans on moving to Canada with my niece who is Canadian citizen as well as My elder who finished from Algonquin college in Ottawa. I believe study in Canada would help by giving various Career opportunity as the unemployment in my country is still increasing, also to see and learn more from the Technologic advancement and also enpand my views and perception on things. As of Funds i am positive i won't have problems with that concincing Cic tha i am a genuine student by showing records that i was indeed a full time student and more
