I have been working professionally under NOC 2271 (skill level b) for more than 6 years and by virtue of this and some other courses I am also working as a manager NOC 0731 (skill level 0) for about 3 years. I have a masters degree which is not quite relevant to this at all.

1) Which NOC should I apply under? Are there any better chances of skill level 0 for the immigration? As also I know NOC2271 is not really in demand by any means.

2) If I apply under NOC 0731 which accepts eligibility by working as a professional under NOC 2271 (description of NOC 0731), does my work experience of NOC 2271 count? Or should I write only 3 years of experience?

You can have work experience in more than 1 NOC code. However, you need to choose only one NOC code in which you intend to work in Canada. NOC code is based on the matching of your job duties with the job duties of a particular NOC code. NOC code is independent of the job designation. Make sure atleast 60 to 70 percent of your job duties match up with a particular NOC code.

when you create your EE profile you will be asked to select an NOC under which u wanna apply..in another section it will ask you your work experience..dont confuse your self please..

common sense says that you will look for a job based on your current profile instead of the one that you were practicing 3 years ago right?
you know your profile and your designation in the company already..now 0731 is a managerial level NOC and 2271 entry/intermediate level..If your current designation is managerial den select 0731 or whichever that suits your current job role (for which you can get employment reference letters)

so if your employment ref letter states that u hold a manager position select 0731 (if it has similar job role as compared to yours..else use other 0XXX NOC that matches your roles and responsibilities in current position

1) Okies, so I can use both NOC's combined work time as my work experience, but I will need to apply under one NOC only.

2) Btw, as I had read on some posts on this forum that the NOC which is not in high demand is highly unlikely to get through the process, is that so?
