Hello,

I just wanted to shed some lights and hopes for those that are frustrated and losing hope.

When my mother passed away, my dad got remarried by a Canadian Filipina. Long story short, he declared us four kids on the application except for one. My dad has had a few relationships before we migrated to Canada. He end up getting one lady pregnant and never declared their child on the application.

After many years, our half sister was already 20 and my dad decided to apply her under Family Class. As we all know that if you don't declare you child then that would be considered as misrepresentation or fraud so therefore, my father got denied on his first attempt on the application.

Since my dad is now in his 60's I thought to myself of helping him. I appealed to the Canadian Immigration and she was approved to come here. As soon as we heard the good news, she left the Philippines has been living here since 2009!

Sometimes, it is better to try and take what you can get. There are still a lot of immigration officers out there who are compassionate!

Good luck!

Hi,
I have received my PR visa however i had not declared my child in the application as she was born after recieving the PNP NOI. We were under the impression that we can declare the child afterwards as per the IRCC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigr...67.1405754350.1536220451-154035414.1531133755

The website says:
"
If you add a dependant to an existing application, it could take longer to process your application. If you don’t want a processing delay for your application, these are other ways your dependant could come to Canada:

"
If I declare my child now(before travelling to Canada), will my visa get cancelled and will i have to wait for another invite? Or will i be able to add my child as a dependant to the existing PR status.

Please guide!!

Thanks.
Did you declare your child on the Permanent Residency Application or he was not yet born while applyng for PR?

1, That was then, this is now, the Regulations have changed in the past 10 years.
2. Compassionate doesn't enter into it, if you fail to declare a child (or spouse) for that matter, it is the law that applies and they are no longer a member of the family class, and can't be sponsored.

Additionally if you get PNP nomination you also need to inform your province. Again having additional child itself is no problem (it is even advantageous for Quebec), but failing to inform brings lot of problems.
As for all PNP they are checking back with the province that has nominated you.
