HELP! Received passport Request email but online it says decision not made

Hello Guys,

Im a bit confused, received a passport request email 3 days ago saying i have to submit the passport, 2 ID photos,Payment receipt within 30 days. Today i tried to link my account to see all the details and surprisingly it says back ground check still in process, Decision not made. What does this mean. I thought passport request means all is well and the process is almost done.

Relax Zack.
CIC are not usually so quick to update the accounts, they may do it wholesomely like a couple of weeks ago they updated to DM on sponsorship side for all those who had received SAs before. i got the PPR earlier with a request of some additional documents. On a Friday MyCIC account was application closed and approved and got my passport back on Tuesday of the following week. While on my ECAS on the PA side still says "In process". I have the Passport/visa and CORP and already booked my flight to my husband.
That should not bother you at all. Let us just hope for the best!
 
technically, a decision can't be made until they receive and process the requested items. you most likely won't see decision made until the approval is finalized.
 
Thanks Hard cookie. I guess all i can do at this point is to send them the requested documents and relax Lol. As you said It looks like they don't always update online on time. Thanks again for your response.
 
Hello

I am not sure if some came across this kind of situation. I have applied for my wife and child who resides in India and I m PR working full time. After a month completion I have received a letter from CIC o refund $415.00 NO reason mentioned

I will appreciate if people can share some view, originally i paid $1115.00 and refund of $415 doesn't make sense to me .

Please help

Hi Tariq,

I guess this is what they deducted;-
Sponsorship application (per application) 75
Principal applicant (spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or other family member) 475
A family member of the principal applicant who is under 19 years of age (child) 150

Since the RPRF is 490 CAD, they may have decided to refund the 415 so that they can ask you to pay the 490 after the application is forwarded to the VO.

Important information regarding your application has been sent to you by email to the email adress provided on you application or through your my Cic account
Please be sureto check the junk/spam mail folder of email adress you providedas some spam filters may block automated emails


What does it mean first the send me medical after my medical when i open my passport I received this small reciept no rejection no visa so what does it mean anyone know please suggest me something

FYI. You are replying on a very old thread.

Have you successfully linked your account to your pr app? What stage is your app at? It's not clear.
