hello every one
i have a friend who lives in canada and she is a woman , i want to go and visit her and i will be staying at her home
i know i will need some papers from her and one of those papers is : A certificate of employment for your host......as they mention in the website of canadian embassy in algeria
but the problem is this woman doesnt work she is a housewife and she get money from the gouvernement of the older and some others from another source.

can you please tell me what paper she must give me instead of the certificate of her employment ....

waiting for ur answer help me please

If she files a joint tax return with a spouse, ask her to get an Option C for you. She can also show her other sources of income. If she's retired, she should show her retirement income. She doesn't have to be employed to host you, but she must have a way to pay for your food and expenses if you aren't paying yourself.

hello friend
first of all thank u so much for the answer
well im going also to pay my self as long as she is a housewife but she will show her chaque statement
and the other source of money
i hope this will work
i didnt understand what did u mean by this : C ,,,???
can u tell me what does it mean

It's called "Option C" and it's a form she can get from Revenue Canada (our tax agency). I am a member of the Family Class (sponsored by my husband) and Option C is required for us, so that's why I suggested it. It will show all income claimed for the prior tax year. If your friend is married, her Option C will show the joint income. It's just one option to show she has a source of income. Or she could ask her husband for paystubs if he has a job.

The notice of assessment from CRA will do. No need the option C in this case.

I got your PM but I don't know the "certificate". You might want to check with the VO.

if she is a housewife... is her husband aware that someone is trying to come half way across the world to stay with his wife.....I am just sayin. :P
