anyone mailed application before Nov 5th and got rejected?
sigh.... mailed my application on nov 3 and it has arrived on nov7th. they announced the change on nov 4.
not too sure wat i am expecting now....
if they rejected my application, how long it usually takes them to send it back to me ? please help....

Why do you think that they will reject your application?

application type:Sponsoring family(parents)
change: As of November 5, 2011, no new applications to sponsor parents or grandparents will be accepted for processing for up to 24 months

oh ok. yours is a parents application !!

Sorry I have no idea about it as I am waiting for the spousal sponsorship. There are many threads regarding parents application and new change/rules by cic about super visas. You can ask your question there or you might want to get required information on those threads.

May be someone experienced could give a better answer.

I think it's probably safe to assume your application was rejected if it was received by CIC after November 5th (CIC isn't know for its leniency when it comes to things like this). I would expect you should receive the application back within a few weeks. Anyway, at this point all you can do is wait.

Sucks that you probably missed the deadline by just a day...

i would hope the same man...but canadapost sucks... application was arrived on nov7th.... but post marked nov 3.
not too sure if i need to call cic ask for application fees back... if ...i mean...if there was a possibility they accept my application and i had my money back.. lol that's gonna be fun

Do you know for sure that it will be returned? If so how did you find out? I would assume they look at the date on the Canada Post stamp and if it was sent before Nov 5 it should be ok : Because there is always mail delivery issure everywhere....

Applications received on or after November 5, 2011

New FC4 Sponsorship applications for parents or grandparents received by Centralized Processing Centre- Mississauga (CPC-M) on or after November 5, 2011, will be returned to the sponsor with a letter (see Appendix A) advising them of the temporary pause. Applications which are postmarked before November 5, 2011, but are received at CPC-M on or after November 5, 2011 will also be returned to the sponsor. In both cases, processing fees shall be returned.

i am still expecting there is a possibility....no matter if it's only 0.1%.... maybe am just stupid...

I remember reading that any applications "RECIEVED" starting Nov 5 will be sent back along with the fees.
