Hello everyone,
I am a refugee and my hearing was in August 2013.
I applied for the PR and I am waiting.
My problem is that I got engaged last September and my he lives outside Canada.
He does not want to come and live here in Canada but, he wants me to go to him.
So, what should I do in my status and how can I travel to him without affecting me case and situation here in Canada??
please help I am very sad that it may affect our relationship

As far as I know if you apply for PR in Canada and you leave Canada for an extended amount of time (not sure what amount of time is considered to be an extended amount) before you get PR then your application will be considered abandoned. I am not sure if this is different for people who have refugee status but I don't see why it would be any different than any other PR application.

Even leaving for a short vacation while your PR is being processed can be risky because if for any reason you are denied reentry to Canada then you would also be considered to have abandoned your application.

You may have to make a choice between this person and having PR in Canada. If he really doesn't want to live in Canada and you really want to be with him then why would you even want to spend the time and money getting PR if you plan to leave to be with him and not live in Canada? The down side is if you leave to be with him and things don't work out then you may have to start the whole process over again. If you applied a while ago and think your PR could come in the next year then see if he will wait for you. I would think if he can't wait for you then he isn't worth giving up PR for either.

you can get a better answer/advise if you answer the following questions.
-is the person living in a country other than your home country?
-approximately When will you be getting married?

If the person to whom you got engaged is not living in your own home country then i don't find any reason to worry..so let me know the answers to the above questions before i comment on your post.

No, he does not live in my own home country
and we did not decided yet when to get married because I said to wait until I get my PR.
