Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I'm an international student in my 3rd year at UBC. Right now..I'm in my home country Saudi Arabia for the summer and my visa just expired so I applied to renew it last week and filled in the application.

Also, I'm holding a valid Study Permit from Canada Immigration until 31 July 2014

However, my actual 4-year Bachelor Science study will finish on 20 April 2014, therefore, in the visa application, I requested my stay in Canada to be until April 2014 only. ( I was afraid that they will refuse my visa due to staying for additional months after I will be finished my study, so I limited the date to less than the validation date of the study permit).

I got all my documents package returned today becasue the cheque payment amount has changed recently! Anyways, they also provided another comment in a paper saying that:

" Please apply for as a visitor because study permit is valid until July 2014" !!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell this comment should mean? How Do I apply for as a visitor if I'm requesting a student visa to continue pursing my degree?

I have no idea how to analyze this comment and there's no way we can contact the embassy via phone or email here in Saudi Arabia.

Also, do you think they would reject my application If I have two F's in my transcript and 1 C+? My current gpa is like 55% due to the loss of my father 5 months ago.

Can anyone help me with this?? Thanks in advance!

you had to renew just the TRV since u already have the study permit ,its a sticker pasted on ur passport

1. Apply for only the TRV. A Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is an official document issued by a Canadian visa office that is placed in your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident (either as a visitor, a student, or a worker).

In the form where it is asked Purpose of Visit: select "Others" in details write Stduies

:o :o :o :o This is not what I was looking for, sorry I guess you have not take the time to read my issue. I certainly know exactly how to apply for Canadian TR Student Visa. I have applied to student visas twice before, none of them was rejected. I'm applying again so I can be able to finish my 4th yr.

My concern is about the unclear embassy response, please read my story before making any comment. Thank you :)

If the earlier response was not what you was looking for then I guess you are looking for something wrong ;)

show your passport to your travel agent and he will guide you weather he can issue you ticket on the what ever stamped by Canadian embassy previously or you need some thing else.
