Hi,

My girlfriend sent her passport to the LA office last week with Xpresspost US service. But, the USPS attempted to deliver it on Saturday, at which day the Consulate General of Canada is closed. They've left a notice there. Has this happened to anyone? What steps did you take? Or, did the consulate have sb designated to go and pick up mail? Please advise. Thanks!

(P.S.: We called USPS to have it redelivered, but they said they need sb from the Consulate to do that... HELPPP)

LA is not going to pick up the package. You will have to get USPS to either re-deliver when they are open, or return it to you to send again.

Actually the USPS office re-delivered after re-sorting out the priority mail. It's a procedure they do. We found this out after speaking with the corresponding post office over the phone... The envelope is now delivered to the LA consulate general. Thanks...
