Hello, I'm a single 21 yr old mother I've been in the states since I'm 10 and have not been granted a legal status yet. I can't find a job and I'm desperate. I've been thinking about going back to my country but it's really dangerous in El Salvador and my family over there is being watched by gang members. I don't want to put my child at risk. Please some one help me how can I migrate to Canada legally, also I have an aunt living in Canada she legally entered Canada many years ago, maybe that helps a bit more. Please some one help me on what should I do. I was retained by immigration when entering but we were released to my father, I did applied for the DACA act but was denied. Thank you in advance for any of your help.

Information about Canada's immigration programs can be found here:

The best option would be to immigration through an economic immigration stream. Unfortunately all of these streams require at least a year of work experience and I don't believe any work experience you have will be considered since it would have been gained while you were without status in the US.

You could try applying for refugee status at the Canadian border citing the family member exception to the Safe Third Country rule (this assume you are in contact with your aunt). However there's no guarantee the refugee application will be approved.

Unfortunately there is really no easy or sure path for immigration under your circumstances.

Consider that once you leave the US, you will be automatically banned from re-entering for 10 years. So if you decide to leave, make sure you don't have any plans or needs to visit family members or friends there for the next ten years.

Good luck.
