Hi there!

I am already a PR and just got married, my wife ( from India) is applying for her PR through EE, it was my idea as she had enough points and I thought PR through EE would be faster and the application process is less complicated than the Spousal Sponsorship Program, Is it advisable to do this or should I only sponsor her. Please suggest, Thank you!

If she can qualify through Express Entry (more than 460 points), and it's easy for her to get the necessary work experience letter, and she has settlement funds, then EE is the better route. It's (usually) faster, and there's no need for a three year undertaking.

Thanks Guys! Yes, she can easily get the work Experience letter, she has a CLB 10 and we are waiting on her WES now, as for the settlement funds, can we show her PF from work (about 4 - 4.5 lacs - around $8000) and bank deposits for ( 4.5 lacs ) ? is it okay to do this? Or should everything be on the same account?

The funds needs to be "readily available". PF may or may not qualify - search the forum and see if other people have been able to show it. And remember that you'll have to show funds for two people, not one.

You can also add her to your account and show your savings.

Can anyone here comment on applying for a TRV for her 3 months after submitting her PR application? Would that be successful? Any suggestions guys?

Having a spouse who is a PR will make getting a TRV difficult. Would also mention PF can’t be under a business account. PF has to be your personal account.

Thanks Canuck, I appreciate your response, while I am aware that the TRV process is going to be difficult, I am just wondering is it advisable to try and apply for the TRV?

It will not impact her EE application in any way, so there's no harm in trying. You can expect a denial though, it's usually difficult to get a TRV in these circumstances.
