Hi all,

I am currently planning to marry my girlfriend (I know... kind of crazy isn't it? LOL) here in Costa Rica. Both are Costa Ricans, however, we wish to migrate to Canada in order to have a new family there. I am a Computer Science engineer, with more than 7 years of experience on this field.

We don't have any relative in Canada, nor have any experience on migrating to another country, so, my question basically is, how difficult would it be for both to migrate to Canada and establish with a 2-3 kids family? (Let me clarify, kids are not here yet... we are working hard to have them once we are in there LOL).

Thanks in advance for all ;-)

neither one of you are canadian, correct? i think you will have to file under skilled worker.check the FAQ on this site for that.

As tamee said, you should take the online assessment to see if you can immigrate under the skilled worker category. If you have a Bachelor's degree, it sounds like you would. Here's the link:

Hi all,

Yes I do have a Bsc in Computer Science, and I have more than 8 years of experience as software developer and as Oracle Database Administrator. So I guess i will have a look at that category.

Thanks for all your help!!! :-D
