Hi All,

My provincial nomination letter expires in July, and I am still gathering documents from my home country.

I have a question: Do I need to submit my application before my nomination letter's deadline? Or do I need to get the AOR from IRCC before the deadline?

I heard it might take months to get PNP's AOR. Will I get rejected if my nomination letter expires by that time?

Thank you.

Hi All,

I have a question: Do I need to submit my application before my nomination letter's deadline? Or do I need to get the AOR from IRCC before the deadline? Yes you will have to submit before it expires & if not then you have to ask the nominating body to reissue a fresh nomination certificate

I heard it might take months to get PNP's AOR. Will I get rejected if my nomination letter expires by that time? You need to have an active nomination when you submit the PNP. In your case I guess it is Non Express and AOR can take a little while

Thank you.

Thanks for your reply. Yes it is non express PNP.
I guess I didn't express myself clearly. Since the AOR takes a while to arrive, and likely my nomination will be expired before the AOR.

My question is, I only need to submit my application before the letter's deadline, not receive the AOR before the deadline. Am I correct?

Thank you.

You have to submerge your complete application before your nomination expires. If you didn’t submit your nomination will expire and you have to apply PNP again from scratch. It doesn’t matter if your nomination expires after you submit application and didn’t get AOR.

As long as you submit the federal application before the nomination cert. expires you will be fine. When they start to process your application they will ask you to submit a new one if the other one expired. It is easier to get an extension from the nominating province with the letter from IRCC, than it is to apply for a whole new cert. So submit the application and let the process flow.
