Hello,

I'm in the process of filling out the forms for my CEC application and I'm wondering which NOC to pick.
The one closest to my occupation on my WP or the one closer to what my actual position is called on the contract?

Details:

WP: COMP EQUIP OPS,NETWK OPS&WEB T
Contract: IT Support Assistant
Available NOCs:
- 2281 Computer network technicians http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2281&val65=2281
- 2282 User support technicians http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2282&val65=2281

2281 would be closest to my contract and my actual duties. But does this NOC also match the occupation on my WP?

Thanks!

Does your work permit indicate the NOC?

No. It only says "COMP EQUIP OPS,NETWK OPS&WEB T" as my occupation. It's an IEC Young Professionals work permit.

Was this work permit issued on LMO.

IF was issued based on LMO ,NOC code will be there on Your LMO approval letter.

No, the job title is less relevant than the actual job duties and responsibilities - Honestly - they are both skilled and obviously somewhat related, so either one would probably be fine. Pick the one the best matches duties/responsibilities, as that is how the VO will evaluate your eligibility.

Thanks a lot!! Yes, both NOCs are skilled but I couldn't find the title of my position on the contract in the titles
mentioned on the NOC websites and that kinda confused me.
But my duties and responsibilities totally match NOC 2281. So I will go with that one. Thanks again!!
