Hope you are well and not worrying like I am!
So my situation is getting more complicated by the day, my WHV is due to expire on 7th July 2017 (6 days). And I am starting to get a bit anxious about all of this:
BOWP - Application submitted (18th May 2017)
Express Entry:
Received 8th May 2017
Eligibility: In review
Additional documents: Are being reviewed (changed from have been received)
Medicals: Passed
Interview: Not required at this time
Finger prints: Not required at this time
Background checks: Are being processed
My work paid for lawyers at PwC to do my application on my behalf and updates are few and far between. They keep me at distance and never really make me feel like this is going well, it's very frustrating and worrying. I have found my own way to get updates through the CIC phone system (quick cheat #1122 + enter EE number).
I am just so worried right now, my WHV expiry date is looming by the day. My lawyers have told me that I have implied status and that I have nothing to worry about - but I am!!! They told me that I don't need to go to the border next week to renew my status, but I have read online that I do! I just don't want to end up in a situation where I get in trouble for not going to the border to renew my status. Does anyone have any insight here?
Also does anyone know roughly how long I could wait (best and worst scenario) from this point i.e medicals passed, additional documents being reviewed etc.
I would really appreciate some insight or advise here.
