Help Needed in filling online application

Hello friends,

I am trying to complete my visa application online. Although I have read a lot about the process on the CIC website I am still having some doubts regarding the process
I hope all of you the respected members of this forum will help me in clearing my doubts.

1. I completed the online questionnaire and based on my answers it asked me to fill only IMM1294E and IMM5645E forms. Does that mean rest of the forms given in the application package like Document checklist [IMM 5483], Schedule 1 – Application for Temporary Resident Visa [IMM 5257 – Schedule 1] etc. are not required in my case and I need not fill it ?

2. As I am still working, what should I mention in the To field of Employment section in IMM1294E form.

3. How am I supposed to sign IMM1294E form ? I have read on the form that we may need not sign it here and we sign the application electronically. How and where ?

Please help me out.

1. For students, IMM 1294E will work for both SP & TRV, do not have to apply separately for TRV.
2. N/A if not working.
3. Type your name as on Passport & validate, no actual signature.

You could fill schedule 1 for trv for a country needing visa.

1. @Propain : I think J5M is correct I need not fill TRV (IMM5257) form separately.

2. I am working , in the TO field it asks me to fill a date but as I have not left my job yet. How can I fill a correct TO date ? Shall I leave it blank ?

3. It doesn't allow to type my name in signature field. I have filled my name in the last name and given name field.

One more doubt :

On clicking validate button it generates a barcode. How to use that barcode in case of online application ? In offline application I know that you to print out the bar code sheet and place it on top of your forms.
Do we use the generated barcode in online application ?

1. J5M is right. You need not fill the TRV application.
2. Put a tentative date as in current date.
3. Don't worry about signature. You don't need to sign it

After filling in the forms, you will just need to upload the documents on mycic. No idea about barcode and stuffs

once we uploaded the documents , how do we send our Passport to VISA office?

do we have to send post?

You could save it with the barcodes and then upload.

visa would be requested by cic through email when it us required.
