Afternoon all, Long-time reader, first time poster.

I've got a fairly complicated few months/year ahead of me, and was hoping I could get some help and advice from. I'll try and keep it short.

  • IEC (UK) expiring May 10th next year.
  • Only route (after much research) into PR is via BC PNP semi-skilled (9 months continuous employment req.)
  • 9 months continuous employment triggers on 24th April next year (2.5 weeks before IEC expires)
  • I can only apply for PNP from 24th April onwards.
  • My employer wants to keep me on, and I want to stay on.

What options do I have after my IEC expires on the 10th May.
I'm aware that I cannot extend or bridge the IEC, as stated on the visa document.

I would have applied via BC Skilled and/or EE (both paths state that I am eligible), but using the various points calculators, it seems as though I'd never be invited to apply.

This is also one thing that I can't get my head around. I have done the questionnaires on both EE and Skilled BCPNP, and I'm eligible for both.
However using the points calculators, I'd never be invited to apply as my point scores are lower than previous rounds. ???

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all,

Tom

What's your EE score? Close to 430? If it's close to 430 - create a profile and you might get lucky.

Otherwise you could see if your employer is willing / able to get an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit.

Thanks Scylla,

EE score is between 376 - 461 (depending on how WES validate my UK certificates).
So a low score unfortunately.

I was thinking about the LMIA, that would be some work from the employer which could be a pain, but it's definitely an avenue I've considered.
