hi folks:
Hope someone can shed some lights here. I've received an email on Sep.4 from CIC asking my parents to send their passports along with other docs to Beijing Visa Center
to get the final stage completed. This is an excellent news. However, in the email, it also says the Permanent Resident Visa will expire on Oct.28 , 2015. We did our best to
collect all required docs and sent it out on Sep.8 and Beijing Visa center confirmed on Sep.9. Today, I called them and they told me it usually took around 1-2 months to process Permanent Resident visa.

If that's the case, it is going to pass Oct.28 which is the expiry date for the PR visa. Does anyone here have seen this case before?
I am going to call CIC tomorrow and asking if it possible to get it extended. My mom did her medical examination in Canada last september as part of requirements to extend her
visitor visa. I guess CIC just reused her last medical examination results .

Any help will be appreciated

Cheers

Hui

I'm guessing they will extend it when they actually issue the COPR's, but calling to ask about it won't hurt. That short of a timeframe is ridiculous and is an obvious mistake if you have that on the COPR.
