Pre-Assessed..
Aoa,

I have few questions regarding study permit application. So here they are all together.

Got admission in Master's of computer science Th (2 yr program)

1. IMM1294E Form - Application for a Study Permit:

  • Page 1 - What is number one question? UCI. I am applying for the first time so guess I don't have any?
  • Page 2 Q3 - Under "DETAILS OF INTENDED STUDY IN CANADA"
What is Duration of expected study? It's a 2 yr program but I don't exactly know when it ends so what I write in the end program date?
A date that is approx 2yrs from start.
-
  • Page 3 Q4 - Under "The cost of my studies will be:"
Tuition: Is it the total 2yr fee?
Room and board: What is this?
    Other: What is this also?
-
  • Page 3 - EMPLOYMENT
I am not currently employed but was so should I leave the first row? and start from 2,3 and so forth?

2. IMM5257B form - Schedule 1 Application for Temporary Resident Visa

Apart from my name and DOB the whole form is empty. Is that right?

3. IMM5645E form - Family Information

My Father is retired but his income is from rent so what I write under his occupation? Retired or Land Lord or business man?

4. Info regarding proof of sufficient funds:

My Father is sponsoring me. He has $57,000 CAD in his account right now and has been there for more than 6 months. The amount is more than enough I guess. His source of income is mostly rent which is $22,000 CAD/yr.

What documents I need for satisfy VO. Affidavit of Financial Support, My fathers bank statement and that's it? should I attach the rent receipt? and do I need any other documents?

5. I have professional experience in my field so should I attach my CV and the recommendation letters which I got when I left the company. The checklist doesn't ask for it as its study permit. Any info on this?

6. Letter of acceptance:

For masters program university didn't send me any package and told me that the color print of the electronic version is more than enough to satisfy the VO. I ask them few times and gave them the link for CHC where it says original Letter of acceptance but University keeps on saying that electronic version will work and they don't send hard copy to masters student, they send to bachelor admission only.

Should I attach the email from them saying that they won't sent me hardcopy and color print out of the electronic version will be accepted.

7. How to pay tuition?

Only option I am getting is to open a foreign currency account. Take 6lac to a dealer and exchange that for dollars then deposit those dollars in the bank and then ask bank to transfer the required amount.

First I feel extremely unsafe to take this amount of money to a money exchanger and than taking the $6000 to bank. Is this how everybody do it? what would you suggest is the safest way or am I out of luck.

8. Photocopies:

I just go and attest all photocopies from notary public, will that be ok?

9. Online Application:

In Online application it says "will you work off-campus" should I say yes to it? I have no idea if I will work off-campus or not? what you say? should I say yes to it?

10. General question:

Why people keeps on suggesting other documents which are not listed on the official CHC checklist? Shouldn't completing the checklist enough?

And do you see any potential problem that I might get from the VO?

Thanks.
