Hello Everyone.

I am Abhishek, from India. I have been Offered admission in Canadian University. Now I am planning to apply for Study Permit.

I want to ask you all about the FAMILY INFORMATION FORM.

The thing is my real brother is already in Canada from Sept. 2010, has completed his Masters and is currently an Intern at GE.

Is there be any problem in getting my Study Permit, as i will be mentioning about my brother in that Form?

If yes, then how to avoid that.

What amount of Loan should i request my bank for applying under SPP Scheme.

First Year Tuition fees is : $15309.

Please help me, as i am worried about these issues..

Regards
Abhishek, IND

Dont know about first part. and u need loan of 80% of first year fees+ living expenses. In ur case it is (15309+8000) * .80= 18647.2
To be on safer side $23,000 will be best.

You can't avoid it bro. Because this family information goes in their record. Later on when you plan to apply for PR etc. or anything of that sort, they will have this information.

Depends on the visa officer. Some may say that you have good ties in Canada already, hence you won't move back as your brother didn't move back too. Some may think that if his brother is following the rules and not over staying etc., we can except the same from him. There is no definitive answer for this. But advice is to be honest as misrepresentation can cost you big time.
