Help needed for Canadian Study permit immidiately as have a gap of 1.5 years

Hello everyone, I am from India. I completed my graduation in B. Commerce in June 2012 and after that i have a diploma in ADCSA of one year that ended in 2013 (November). The diploma included subjects related to my course. I want to do Post degree diploma in business management in Business administration in Canada. Will i be able to get a study permit for Canada or the gap in my studies will be an issue? What other options do i have?
Please help as i am going to file my case in April 2014.

IELTS- 8 bands(L 8.5, W 6.5, R 8.5, S 7.5)
Will the gap be considered or not? Is my case positive or negative?
