Did you send proof of your medical exam to your VO? The VO will send updates to e-CAS, and unless they know you've done your medical, they won't look for it for ~ 3 months...

Once I done the body check, I already gave it to my immigration agent the next day... Do u think I should gave her again?

are the medicals reports not sent automatically by the DMP to CIC?

No, the DMP sends them to the Immigration Regional Medical Centre, where they are reviewed by Immigration Drs. The results are then posted electronically to the Visa office. It takes about 4 weeks. The Visa office usually doesn't post them immediately on Ecas.

Hi,

I did my medicals in advance (well I'd filed my application in May last year, but since I didn't see any request for medical, I figured that I should do it in advance).
And according to my DMP, they were passed onto the regional office on August 5, 2011. My wife did her medical in Pakistan and her medical results were delivered to the ottawa office end of August (29th or 30th), 2011.

I have been looking at my ecas on a daily basis and have been hoping that I'll get a PPR soon (has been almost 2 months since I did my medical and almost 1 month since my wife did her). Is there any way, I can find out the status of my application? Is it possible that I can find it out by giving a call to the regional medical office in ottawa, or would it be a good idea to just toss an email to New York office where my application has been processing since March.

Regards

mah, NY will not reply, but you can send them a case-specific email to give them the dates that you and your wife completed the medical. It won't hurt, but again, they will not respond.

E-cas is updated by the visa offices (e.g. NY, Buffalo), not Ottawa, so until a visa officer reviews your medical info, it will not show on e-cas - even then, it may take up to a month for the system to update...

If you want more details about your file, you can request your CAIPs notes. You have to be in Canada, it costs $5, and it takes about a month. The CAIPS files are difficult to interpret, but you can find guides to codes on this site.

Don't worry, our ecas did not change for over a month after we received passport request, so don't worry.

I am in the situation, we did our medicals on Aug/13 and still nothing has change on ecas, although I think they worked on it because for about three weeks the address was not showing up, now the address is there again, but nothing new.

Mhunt, Question... What you said is that even though you received a passport request ecas was showing "In process" and a month after ecas status changed to "Decision Made"

Thanks

Sal

My boyfriend received his medical form as an attachment email from OttPilot-Immigration [mailto:OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca].

He is scheduled to see the doctor tomorrow morning at 8am, then they will try to send it out to the ottawa office tomorrow; if not then on Monday.

I'm just wondering how long would it take for CIC to process his medical record? Unusally how long will we hear something from the CIC govern office? After this what would come next?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, that is what I said, the ecas did not change for us until a month or so after we received PPR, then it changed to "Decision Made"
otherwise it was just "in process".
