I applied for gcms notes last month and got it today. In that notes 11 created on may 11th says : Evidences are satisfactory and file recommend for interview waiver.

And in the note 13 on the last page created on May 24th says : To be interviewed, not a waiver case. Pa to rquest updated meds.

So what does that mean? Is it a final decision to interview me? Is there anything I can do to change it by sending additional docs?

Please help me, really tensed.

The supervising vo has corrected the first vo and ordered an interview. Not likely you can avoid the interview at this stage but if you know why they want the interview and have additional proofs you can try sending it in by cse. Sorry to pass this on to you. Good luck

Thank you so much Sous02 for the kind reply.

Its not written in there why they wanted an interview. I have no idea why the supervising VO made a decision like that. Since I live in canada on visitor visa, its really hard for me to go back to India to attend the interview and come back. :(

Careful on your wording, especially if you are going to have an interview. You cannot "live" in Canada with a visitor visa. You are simply visiting. ;)

That's true in way, with out working one can't say living.

And Sous02, can you please tell me what do you mean by "sending additional docs by cse"? Is it sending online, how can I do that?

No, it's true in every way! It has nothing to do with with working or not. Legally, a visitor visa is just that, a permission to visit Canada. CIC is really fussy with that term. I'm saying that to help you, so whenever you are dealing with CIC make sure you word it properly.

Good luck ;)

Thanks for the valuable info CaroM8, could you please tell me if its a good idea to send further proof to cic at this stage? If so, how can I send that? which address?

I wish I could help.. I have no experience with this part of the process yet. My guess would be to wait and see if they request additional information from you.
Did I read it right in your post, you wrote something like "to request updated meds"... Sounds like they will request an updated medical? Have your medical tests expired yet? They are usually valid for one year.

My medical got expired in May last week. I am waiting for re medical actually. But If they think an interview is needed will they contact me before that, then I have tons of additional documents with me to prove my relationship.

Google case specific inquiry and you should be able to figure it out. I have had no luck though with electronic information showing up on gcms notes. I have had better luck couriering it directly to the vo's embassy. Almost always the interview is about the marriage. Whether it is genuine. There is a thread on this site for people that are facing interviews and you may get more information there.

Whenever you switch from one visa to being married and applying for PR you can almost guarantee extra scrutiny.

We applied inland with my wife still possessing a visitor visa. All our events happened in Canada.

I cannot comment on visa to visa extra scrutiny, but OP isn't alone

Thank you ffor the valuable information guys.
