HELP ME UNDERSTAND GCMS NOTE

Hello everyone, I really need help on reading the GCMS note
I applied study visa for Jan 2021 course, my timeline is

Applied on: September 5th
Received AIP on: October 5th
Requested GCMS: December 11th
Received GCMS: January 12th
- Eligibility status is Recommend Interview, does it mean that they will request me to attend an interview?
- Counterfoil Req: Y (does that mean Yes?)
- Under outgoing correspondence section I saw Original Passport Request document but the status is not started
- And on the last picture there is a comment that “Client is not eligible for 2 stage processing as the program start date is (2021/01/18) and does not meet 2 stage processing. Application to be review in due course”. Does that mean the AIP i received is not valid and they will review the whole application all over again ?

Please advise if my GCMS shows positive chance of visa approval? Should I go ahead and study online for the first semester? I’m just afraid that it would be a waste of time and money if they reject after I finish the first term.

Initially AIP was specific to fall intake however some visa offices became lenient and accidentally gave AIPs to students applying to other intakes ( Winter 2021 / May 2021 ). Some got away unscathed and even received OPR through 2 stage.

However some cases like you got their eligibility retracted.

Irony is that they introduced AIP again for winter 2021 and announced it at the last moment hence some cases like yours are stuck due to being a victim of circumstances.

Edmonton CPC is notorious for issuing "recommend interview" for silly reasons and keeping the file in limbo for a long time.

You need to send a web form addressing this issue as AIP is valid for winter 2021 as well so as to get away from this situation.
