Hi,
Ok.. I'm sponsoring husband , they received application Oct 2,2017. They sent email with file number and UCI on Oct 3th 2017. A FILE NUMBER AND UCI ISSUED.
Didn't hear anything from them again until Nov 16 & 17, stating they needed some informationon a form to be completed and handed in. Submitted both request they confirmed they received the requested information and if anything else was needed they would contact.
My question is we have not received anything further at all. I called in and they said it was in process. WE ARE WONDERING WHY I haven't even got my first email of approval to sponsor yet, I have seen most get them a month later? .. Would there be any reason for them to return it after 4 long months of it being with them and to keep our lives in limbo??!. Anyone have any answers to why I didn't receive my eligibility approval yet?? Or give me some insight to this please

What kind of information did they request? Was it sponsor information or primary applicant information?

Um I missed an address for my husbands mother on the additional family form. And the 5406 form to be exact. I believe. The background one was because I didn't put PRESENT on the form to where he has lived for the past 10 years I only put month n year. I should have ended it with the word present. I did outland he's still in Jamaica.

Always order your GCMS notes every month. It is the only way you can be certain they got your information.

If they are looking for information regarding his paperwork then it is likely that they have already processed the sponsorship portion of the application and are now working on his portion. The ones you noted are NOT part of the sponsors application.

I would call CIC or check your ECAS to see if the sponsorship portion says "decision made". I suspect it is and they just didn't send you a notice that it was. It happens a LOT.

It was requested that I send it firm 5669 stating his full 10 years once again as I stated because I didn't put the word Present. And 5406 with his mother's address. Now when I called to inquire they are trying to tell me that there's no prepersenitive form signed by him and for this case they cannot tell me anything on the application that is in process. Thing is that they have on the login site cause I couldn't link the application online to it as I was having troubles, they have his name n address and Jamaica. Says application received. Although I goto a link then it says find an application by and gives me different options on how to sign in. I.e. , name n birth date, or Application number n birth date, that's how I found some infirmation that they have documented. Does that mean in fact it was linked? Only thing it says with numbers beside each thing is 1, application received n date. 2, requested Nov 16 form 5406 and gave till dec to have it by. 3. Requested information on nov 17 and said wanted it by DEC 17. So I handed it in through webform. They said they received through an email from them that they got all information and passed it on.

Now back to this use of a repersentitive firm they said they never recieved they sent an email WITH MY CANADIAN ADDRESS ON IT AND HIS NAME WHEN they requested the information on the 5406 form and the 5669 firm. So I thought to myself oh my God they think he's under inland sponsorship so I emailed to ask why its like that they said because his communication because he has a repersentitive would go to that address. Well all be hold I'm Hus wife, sponsor, and repersentive . so where all of a sudden did this form of consent they my husband agreed to go to that I could ask on his application? I don't get it. But truly that's not the biggest issue right now. I'm on disability I have sponsored in 2005, he's long a citizen my kids father. Never was on assistance. I am on a permanent income plus baby bonus but I never handed in the income for Bab bonus because they put my benefits on hold as I was visiting Jamaica as my step daughter got shot and they killed her mother on fathers day in 2017. So, I'm sure they know that being Canadian n my children listed that I receive money on top if my disability. Next thing is I have no bad points on the sponsor eligibility part at allllll. I passed everything in regards to their questions.
I've been married 2 years to my husband. Lots if proof of genuine relationship. So you think its only because they never sent out my approval to sponsor? order your GCMS notes. It is the only way to see exactly what is happening. ECAS is not reliable.

Listen carefully:

So long as you did NOT check the box that says to continue processing application even if sponsor is denied then they have approved you to sponsor your husband.

All the information you just threw out here, is ALL in relation to HIS application. They told you they can't discuss his application with you and the only way they have his application is if they have approved you to sponsor him (barring above statement). As soon as you can see "in process" on his ECAS that means your portion is completed.

You can likely expect some extra scrutiny on your application since this is your second sponsorship of a foreign spouse but otherwise just sit back and relax. You're just getting started.

I forgot to ask, my husband just sent in a case specific web form to inquire about his application they will tell him the standings yes if where its at and so on what he asked in his email ? Is there any way they can send back email stating they can't answer him even though its his own application?

They should answer him directly. If he has listed you as his representative and filled out/signed the appropriate forms then you can call CIC directly and inquire about his application. I can tell you they use roughly the same thing you do (ECAS) to tell you where the application stands. If you can see his application online and it says "In Process" that is the information you want. They rarely get more specific in details.

Sometimes, when someone has filled out a "Use of Representative" form they will respond to the inquiry stating that all information is to go through the representative. In this case, you.

Thing is on the online site it has said " application received " has said that since Oct, 2017. Its only when I called they said its in process. I'm so damn confused. Ugh

It is going to take time. It may or may not update online. The application is where it needs to be. There is no reason to stress over it. You KNOW they are working on it just based on the fact they requested documents from you.
