Dear seniors
One of my friend recived in his cic application staus for PR is a decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision . He received this message before 15 days. So my question is does it means he is already qualified for PR or not.
I would be really appreciated if someone could answer my question.

On completion of a PR application CIC Case Processing Units sends this email mentioning that your application is complete or a decision has been made AND the local office will contact you concerning this decision.

The local office is located where the applicant is living. the local office will contact the applicant for an interview to finalize the landing process. to finalize the landing process the local office send an appointment letter scheduled depending on their office work load. on the appointment/interview day the identity of the applicant is verified and a COPR document is issued (confirmation of permanent residence status). technically this is the day when the applicant officially becomes a permanent resident of canada. the PR card is then mailed to the applicant address after few weeks.

may i know in which category your friend applied for and what is his/her timeline.

Thanks Ttrajan and Kriv for your response. My friend he is a cook.He got passport request today.His total time is 17 months. He work in Penticton B.C.
