Hi All,

I have applied for Canadian student visa as I am admitted in the PhD program with partial fund. My kind Professor thought that the University would waive my tuition, however, unfortunately, because I had a big Shift from MSc to PhD of another field they did not. Now, my supervisor suggested that If I reapply for one year MSc program, which could be a fine preparation from the University point of view, the University would probably waive my tuition.

If after receiving my visa and issuing my study permit, when I land in Canada, I decide to decline my PhD admission of Fall term and immediately reapply for MSc program of Spring term, would I encounter any problem? In this situation, for two months I am not officialy student in any University of Canada, Is it a problem based on Canadian visa regulation?

I highly appreciate your time on my question.
Many thanks in advance for all of your kind attention.

You should be fine. Just to be on a safer side you can inform the Immigration but not really needed. Once you land you can switch course and programs easily. That being said if you don't attend institute for 90 days your permit expires automatically as well.

You should be fine. Just make sure you don't work off campus until your Master's program officially starts.

Great thanks!
I was so concern. Hopefully, it seems I won't encounter any serious problems.
The university probably give me my MSc admission 1 to 2 months after declining my PhD. The problem is that they could not give me 2 admissions simultaneously and I should decline the PhD first.
I deeply appreciate your time on my question.

Many thanks!

I am really interested to just focus on my research field and the program which I am accepted and will be accepted! I am not thinking about working off campus or any other activities other than being a typical student!
Again, thanks for your time.
