I'm being suggested that I should apply at university of Regina, the one in Saskatchewan .for masters program, as they are inviting and has relaxed policies so I may go there with kids for higher program... can anyone telll me is it right?? should I follow it??
freya
you should go for PhD, then you can easily take your family with you, masters is still risky.

The course I've selected is the database aplication developer from Seneca College of Applied arts and technology.
The requirements for that course mentioned either a degree with an IT background or a Non-IT one with appropriate knowledge of Programming. Since i'm from a non-IT background, I've done courses in programming after my graduation. I'd mailed the same to Seneca college and they said I'm eligible for the course.
But would this change of stream from Electronics and telecommunication to Computers/IT pose a threat of visa rejection. I'm really worried about that.

This should not be a problem, and actually electronics and programing are kind of related. Problem usually occurs for students going from one field to a totally unrelated one like going from electronics to human resource management, just remember to send in your programming certificates along with your application for visa.

Hi freya,
There are not many universities for the january intake that i'm eying for. I'm doubtful If i'll get the subjects i want in universities, some are also asking for gre which I've not appeared for. But are you sure that visas are getting rejected for Seneca? Where did you hear that?

greetings. I have read ur first post on top most. I think the reason for refusal is that ur ties are not strong enough with your home country. Seeing the other aspect would that, u said u have 2 children whome u take care of...this also proves that definitely u have to take them with you and bear the expenses of children aswell. Concluding all the above statements by all....i would say that you must show someone in embassy that would take care of ur children in ur home country....which will prove ur home ties. Its just matter of days that if u go alone, reach canada...arrange a nanny for ur children, show their expenses and ur good to go. I dont think if embassy have told u to be potential immigrant, it would be tough next time. Be very careful.
GOOD LUCK.

the Canadian embassy is not rejecting Seneca college applicants, they are more careful when issuing a visa to a college student as compared to a university one. They might ignore minor issues in case of a university student but in case of college student they can reject even on very minor issues. This is my opinion you may differ from it, but I think so because recently the Canadian govt. has started tightening student visas.
