Hi everyone,

I'm new here and would like to ask a few questions regarding my inland spousal PR application. I'm a bit confused about some stuff that I came across with.

1. My passport was issued by my country's consulate general in Canada. So what should I answer for my passport country of issue? I wrote Canada, but have some doubts about it.

2. In the IMM 5002 section C (my family members outside of Canada), should I include my parents and my sibling living abroad, or is it just meant for dependent child(ren)?

3. I'm currently on a valid study permit that is expiring in end of September 2009, but will complete my studies by March or April 2009. My student TRV also expires in the end of September 2009. I'm going to send in my PR application early October 2008. I assume it can take CIC approximately 6 months to process my application for first stage approval. Should I include an application for an open work permit (OWP) along with my PR application, although I think I'm also eligible to apply for an OWP on my own under the post-graduation work permit program. Another question, do I need to apply for another TRV once my status in Canada changes from study permit to work permit?

Sorry for shooting so many questions at once. Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated :) Thanks in advance!

1) Your passport country of issue is your country of nationality. Canada did not issue you a passport, your country issued your passport through their consulate, which is simply located in Canada.

2) You must include: your (foreign national) spouse or common-law partner (not applicable to this type of application); all of your dependent children; and all dependent children of your spouse or common-law partner (also not applicable). There is no mention of siblings or parents in this part of the application because they are not eligible to be sponsored under a spouse/common-law/dependent child family class application.

3) Yes, absolutely include an application for an open work permit with your Inland PR application. I don't know for sure if you need another TRV when your status changes from study to work permit, but I'm sure someone else will be able to answer that for you.
