HELP! INcome tax return from India?

Hi there,
I'm applying for TRV for my wife in India. She will be filing her income tax return next week. We are wondering if it is ok to submit the confirmation receipt you get after filing it online? or do we have to wait until the fiel goes to the department in Bangalore and they send us acknowledgement of receipt? Please advise. Thanks!

Hi,

An aside:
If your Chartered Accountant is using a Digital Signature Certificate to file income tax returns then you don't have to print/sign/send the returns to Bangalore. You can simply print the acknowledgement that's generated.


You can attach the confirmation receipt with the TRV application. You can also submit ITRs for the last 2-3 years.
