Thanks,

I am in USA, I dont know how can I make a money order in Canadian Dollars? Please help...

Phone the bank where you have a checking account and they could do it for you.
I am not sure if they call it a money order, international draft, etc. If they don't understand, tell them you need a check for $550 canadian dollars? If they still don't understand, ask them to put you through their forex dept where they issue travellers checks, etc.

I have a question to seniors
One of my friends who is a registered nurse, has three kids and a spouse. She want to include her family members as non-accompanying so she will not pay their processing fee? She has planned to include them after some stage of the process when she is confirmed somehow that she will be issued a visa. At that time she will update her case and shall pay the processing fee for her husband and three kids to change their status as accompanying family members. this is to avoid risk of loosing more processing fee in case of refusal. Can she do tht?

Traverler Check = Money order ???

They can do traveler check in 5 difference currencies.....

I have no luck with the processing fee either.

I was thinking of asking a friend in canada to ordermoney order in canada funds for me and then send to U.S for me? Does it work ok like that?

travellers check is not equal to money order but the same forex dept usually issues both.

I dont know if personal checks are allowed. If he gets a money order and sends it to you, then thats ok.

Bank also issue a check in canadian dollar itself. ( in my case Bank of America ) with 30 or 35 dollar charges.

canadp

After I went to local banks (Commerce Bank, US bank, Bank of America) and checked out USPS, Citi, American Express....none of them could do it.

I made more efforts by calling those banks again (phone). The customer service (after consulting with her boss or sb) told me that they could not do it.

My bank is also bank of america. How come they dont do it for me?

Oh and I also checkout out Western Union....

Is there any other suggestions? Or a bankphone number you have used and have sucessfully got the money order in CAD?

I went to bank of america and asked them to issue a draft (Canadian Dollars). and the bank representative told that they ordered it and will get through mail.

Can I pay the fees i.e. processing fee in US Dollars($550)?

If you are sending your application to Buffalo, yes you can pay in US Dollar, but it is $465, not $550 (550 is in Canadian Dollar). I sent my fees in US Dollar (Cashier's check).

Here is the official link for that: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/fees-frais_buffalo.aspx

"Paying Fees in Buffalo
*Effective October 23, 2008 and subject to change at any time.
Submitting the Fee:
Payment must be in Canadian or U.S. dollars only. No other currency will be accepted."

That was the time when you can send the whole package to the visa office where you reside. But now every single application will have to be directed to Sydney Canada. I dont think that they w accept US dollars, nor would I risk it ....I dont want to receive my application back.

Almost give up on this processing fee. My everything is sooo ready...

look at the back of your debit card and use that number to phone your bank.
