Help, I made a mistake on OWP application...

I called the CIC call center and they emailed me instructions for the OWP application...in the email, it says I should have included an explanation letter (I didn't!) and that I should receive an email saying that I'm eligible for applying for a work permit and an AIP...I haven't. I mailed it to the right place, but with no explanation letter. Am I going to be rejected for that? How do I fix this? If they reject me in a couple months can I reapply? I'm so upset with myself, but I'm not sure what I can do.

A few important questions. Do you have an inland application currently processing that you have received AOR for? Did you include your UCI on the OWP application? Are you currently in Canada, in status?

I applied for PR inland via common law this summer. I got the email and linked my account and I submitted my Schedule A online. It's all pending. I got my new visitor visa extension, just in case. Then last month I applied for OWP via instructions online, but it didn't say anything about an AOR or sending an explanation letter. I did include my UCI. I'm in Canada on visitor visa.

Well that’s all good news. I can’t say for sure what will happen, but I know you only need AIP to apply for the OWP if you are currently out of status. And if you included your UCI they can look you up and see you have an inland app in process. Hopefully someone more experienced can chime in

That's what I'm hoping! I panicked when I the email. I wish they would make everything more concise on their instructions. I feel like we get a dozen different instructions in different places. I called the CIC to make sure I didn't need to reapply for another visitor visa extension.
