Hello,

I complete a university degree in my country, and work as a Marketing assistant for over 2 yrs. before i came here to work as a TFW under Low Skilled Category. My question is, if it's possible to apply for PR because of my educational and work related experience back home? Because, I have a friend, he used to work before as a Dishwasher under Low Skilled Category, but she used to work before as a certified teacher in our country. And when she reached 2 years in her job her in Canada as a dishwasher, she apply to become a PR based on her educational and work related experience back home. But that was 4 years ago when she apply the PR.
Am I qualify for that. Please, i need your help. I`m very eager to be PR especially, that I have a 5 month old baby now, i don`t want to be apart with him and want give him a bright future. Thanks and God Bless You.

Your friend applied under the Federal Skilled Workers program, but the rules for that program have changed since then.

You currently do not meet the requirements for the FSW or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programs, you can read more about them here -

CEC

Some provincial nominee programs allow for semi-skilled immigration, if you tell us what province you work in... or read about it here...
