I sent my complete paper application package (with my OINP nomination letter) to IRCC one month ago. However, I receive no update, and the "check status" page on IRCC website shows nothing after I typed my information. I tried to call IRCC many times, but there is no way I can talk to a human agent. The machine asks the PR application number which I don't have yet.

Can any one please tell me how to know whether IRCC gets my paper application? This is emergent since my OINP nomination letter will expire one month later.

For this number 1-888-242-2100, to speak to an agent, navigate through the automated messages by pressing 3-4-1-0

Any specific reason for a paper based application during Covid times?

Thanks! I just tried this but the machine said they are unable to transfer my call to an agent due to high volume. Perhaps I will give another try tomorrow morning.

The reason why I submit my application via paper is that my OINP approval letter (obtained last September) told me so. I am also puzzled by why they force me to send via paper in this internet age.

Don't give up easily, try repeatedly. If put on hold for the next available agent, remain on hold...some have reported wait times over 30 mins. Calling them is is certainly not a piece of cake.

I'll try that again tomorrow. Thanks!

Hi, you won’t receive any acknowledgement until probably 5-6 months. The only thing to ensure your package is delivered is by using yr tracking code to check with the courier. That’s what people on this platform refers to as AOR or Acknowledgement of Receipt. Hope this help.

While sending such documents by post you must send it by registered post wherein you can track it after a few days and check whether its reached the correct destination.
It will take sometime to get a acknowledgement from IRCC.

Thanks for this useful info. The problem is that I lost my tracking number. Is there anyway to get the acknowledgement faster?

You will get AOR probably in April, Temporary file no can be obtained in March by calling them. You should wait for another 1 month. By the way what is your AR?
I worry that if I don't get the AOR at March or April, it will be too late to resend the package at that time considering My OINP letter will expire at early March. What AR means? sorry I'm new to this forum.

AR means the daten when your documents reached at IRCC office, your documents must reach their office before expiry of OINP, since you have dispatched them well before time so no worries. You can call them in March and can check your application status by providing your details. Hope for the best and be optimistic!
