Help!!!! How to confirm the cic have recieved my application!

I have send my PR application on Nov. 21, 2009. And i have track the mail online, it shows that the mail arrived on Nov. 24, 2009. However, i have check my application processing status online today (Jan 31, 2010), it still shows "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided." Since the CIC did not send anything to confirm that they have recieved my application, i start to worry if they really received it. is this normal? Is there any way I can check it?

Hi,

Members of another forum have posted that they called CIC and were able to confirm that their applications were received. I think ecas does not show anything until CPC has started processing the application.
 
You don't need to call the CIC since you checked the status of the delivery and it says that they were able to received it. The same thing with my sister she sent her application last December 8th, 2009 but whenever she checks it on e CAS it says that "we may have received your appliacation but we we did begun processing it". Just don't be worry!

i send my application in sept nd they started processing it in nov.so i was worried to.but now i can check it online. it says that file in process, so do'nt worry you will be able to check it in few days.
can any one tell me that when they process our file do they call us. or not.or send us any letter because its been 4 months that i send my file and i havnt received anything from cic. :( .
 
since it has been 4 months since they recieved you app, you can email them for update.

do they reply our E-Mail or they say that we can check our status online.do u know someone who went through this process.and how every thing go on. i am waiting for open workperment badly becoz i want to change my emplyer.
 
Don't worry by april or may for sure u will receive it thats according to the timeline of caregiver friends...guaranteed....hehehe
 
By the way I have the same problem same date
Nov 21 sent appli
Nov 24 received tracked by postal
Feb-NOTHING
Still can't see the status on ecas..let's just pray for it..

Please update me if there's anything new about your papers, because its the same problem with me, I check in online (eCas) every tuesday afternoon because thats the time they update their website (www.cic.gc.ca). Im worried also.
To-honeylemontea did you call the immgration already? I been trying to call them but I cant go in because the machine says that they cant answer due to higher volume of callers and said to try your call later.

Try calling CIC really early and even then you'd have a bit of a wait but then you'll be able to talk to an agent.
 
How come it takes so long? I have read ella's timeline, from cic recieved application to they start to process, it took not even one month. How come my one took more then two month and nothing happened yet?
 
cic will not give you any info on your app. if it is not been processed in Canada.
you have to email the office directly where you have applied.

I have phoned them and that is what they told me, then i emailed buffalo and they said my
application still has not started processing, but they have encashed my check, so I know they recieved it, also they
told me that there is a backlog in our cases.
 
Hi..just called cic today and they told me they haven't open the apllication they received on november but they are starting on it now so we just need to wait...called feb 4 at 9:30am canada time..waited 30mins to get through...
