Can anyone here guide me towards steps and procedures involved in taking your pet to Canada after receiving a PR?
Thank you and best wishes to all.

Cat/Dog/Bird/Fish, something of this nature is absolutely no issue. You only need make sure you pet is up to date on his/her vaccinations and get a health certification from your vet in your home country certifying your pet healthy. Most times it is a very simply procedure, occasionally, a pet may need to be quarantined to ensure his/her health but that is rare.
Thank you very much. I shall read through and ask again if I'm confused about something.well you can start by reading here https://travel.gc.ca/returning/customs/bringing-your-pet-to-canada
Obviously to ship a pet you would either need to contact a specialist company in your home country or contact an airline directly.
Thank you very much for the links. Are you planning on taking your pet along too?

Thank you and yes I'll definitely share the experience and learnings. You're welcome! Yes, I am planning a move to Canada with my cats. As far as I know, you need to call up the airline and find out their requirements as well as the Canada Immigration requirements. Usually a pet vaccination certificate including rabies cert. and a doctor's letter for fit to fly are basic requirements. Airlines and immigration may ask for more. You may also need an export certificate from your country's animal quarantine office.
Good luck and please share what your experiences so that others may learn from it.
