Hello, guys
I need your urgent help, kindly, review my friends case..
Recently, my friend applied for study permit and eventually it got refused.
But now he is looking to apply again.
But the problem is that he didnt mention abt the refusal which dates back to more than 10years before. Even he is hving good travel history which he mentioned in his application. But now he came to know that while issuing a visa embassy demands both passports expired one and new one.
Even he is hving good travel history which he mentioned in his application
My concern is that shall he mention abt his previous visa refusal 10 years old??

I think your friend should apply for his GCMS notes to know the real refusal reason, to check if the VO really questioned about his travel history.
But it gonna take about a month.

He needs to disclose the refusal. It doesn't matter that it's on an old passport.

What if it wasn't the same passport number? My case is a bit similar but I was the dependent and we didn't actually get refused but instead it had to be canceled for some reason. I didn't realize I had to mention that because again, it was a completely different passport/it was in 2008/I wasn't the applicant, just the dependent

To avoid any form of misrepresentation one should provide as much details as possible. In this case
a refusal detail if not provided tantamounts to hiding it thereby putting it in the same category as
misrepresentation.

My concern is should i disclose it this time to cic, as you can see it may affect my application, they are definitly ask themselves that is why the applicant didnt disclose it earlier..
It might pave the way for mispresention..
