Hello all,

So I received my PPR today from NDVO. I got married in the middle of Feb and had sent a signed scanned letter to NDVO about the change in my family composition. I received the list of documents that needed to be sent, however, I had to wait so that I could get my wife's passport back after name change. That took around 1.5 month and I got it back yesterday. So, should I send my passport alone, send both passports or not send anything at all ? I am planning to send the completed application for her in the next week. I have raised a CSE for this, but considering it's NDVO, I am not hopeful that I would get a response on time.

My ECAS still says 'In Process' and not DM.

If anyone has gone through the same situation, your help would be much appreciated !

My opinion is you should send you Passport. Normally spouse addition take some time.

You must and should mmust update your status change to cic...i m in exact same situation. I know its a little more wait but its worth it .

hello everyone..
my fiance has also applied for pr and has received medical request in April ,2015. we are planning to get married now. should we get married as soon as possible and he includes me in the original application or should we wait now, for his pr to come and then get married and he sponsors me. what would be best possible alternative for us?

Get married soon before PR and landing. Otherwise it will fall on spouse sponsorship category which is a lengthy process.

Thank u Sir. That means he can include me in the application before landing in Canada.
I hope this won't affect his procedure in any way. And, how much approximate time will it take for my visa to come then?

Adding spouse normally takes time. How much time will it take, that is up to the visa office that the principal applicant is attached to.

Sir, u said my application would be processed in the visa office to which the principal applicant is attached to.
But, my fiance is presently working in Abu Dhabi in an MNC.
we both are from country India and i am residing in India only.
After he gets his visa stamping he would be returning to India and getting married after resigning his job.
So, in that case how can i apply from abu dhabi office?
