I was on a study permit starting February 2, 2021. I applied for my PGWP on January 17, 2022. My study permit expired on April 30, 2022, after I had already submitted my PGWP application, so I was on implied status at that time.
My PGWP was approved on July 5, 2022, and was valid until May 28, 2023. I later received a PGWP extension on April 11, 2023, which was valid until October 12, 2024. However, I received my COPR on January 10, 2024. After receiving my PR I went to backhome from Oct 2nd 2024 to Nov 17th 2024.
Now, I am unsure what status I should select for the period when I was on implied status while completing the physical presence calculator for citizenship. Could someone please tell me the exact dates I should enter and which option I should select in the online calculator for that period?
Also if I went to backhome for 45 days, how can I enter that?

You still have plenty of time to figure out.

Hi Yogesh

Having been in a similar situation, here is how I would have done it
Study permit from 2 Feb 2021 to 16 Jan 2022
Work permit from 17 Jan 2022 to 09 Apr 2023 (implied status for PGWP allows for applicant to work 40 hrs a week as a work permit)
Work permit from 10 Apr 2023 to 09 Jan 2024
PR starting 10 Jan 2024
Your visit home can be entered in the travel section of the calculator.
Note that time spent in Canada as a visitor, student, or worker is accounted as half up to a max of one year. In your case from 2 Feb 2021 to 9 Jan 2024 is almost 2 years and 11 months, would be accounted as 1 year of stay in Canada.

That said I would recommend that you apply for citizenship with enough buffer to account for any implied status or missed travel time.
Good luck
