Hi all, yesterday when I started filling out the CIC application, just had a question. Does this mean only from January 2006- January 2016?

1) My background: Completed Double Major University degree in 2004 (2000-2004)

2) Went on a 'gap year' trip around Europe with University friends (Jan - June 2005)

Started work at first job: July 2005 - Jan 2007

Should I be leaving out (1) and (2)? Please Help.

Are you talking about the "Personal History" section?

If "Past 10 years" is explicitly mentioned then I think starting from July 2005 is fair.

No harm done if you provide information in that section from the time you turned 18.

I would probably leave out one and two however my education which was more than 10 years ago (I feel really old now) pre-populated into the grids.

I didn't want to leave a gap so I filled in the extra year or so to satisfy my OCD.

I don't think the system would have counted it as complete either, you would have to check.
