Help...employer marrying his caregiver

Hi! Im a new member here and I love reading this site for this is so informative
Anyway, I would like to ask assistance..my case is my employer and I decided to get married before my visa expires this march 2013. Im here in Canada since may 2011 under LCP for 2 years next year.. I want to know what to do and where would i go? do we have to get married first before my visa expires or do I have to apply for PR before we get married.. Please help thanks

not sure if I have the complete answer for you. What I do know is you can start the process the day after you get married. I would start the process right away because going through Immigration can take many turns. Good luck !

If you are already here as a live-in caregiver and will still have the job next year, how about the 'employer' apply for a LMO for you to enable you extend your visa?
I'm just wondering how an employer marrying their employee would appear? It may be seen as a relationship entered into primarily to attain status. Goodluck!

It's definitely a breach of employer-employee relationship. Could possibly be seen as abuse of employer power? I think you and your to-be spouse should definitely write letters explaining how your relationship developed.
