help! deadline for arrival following approval

hi there, hoping to gain some info from people in the know or thst may have had a similar experience

So I received approval today for permentant residence from the UK to Canada. woo! I've been given a deadline to enter canada by July the 5th. really short notice to up and leave although I'm prepared to go, i'm not really in a position to due to work and other commitments till around september/ October. are the CIC Flexible with arrival dates or is the best way around this just visiting for a week in june then coming back at a later date? thanks for any help!!

Not flexible whatsoever, but you can do a soft landing.

You could enter Canada......land as PR in Canada.........leave after a few days..........then return later (with your record of landing document) to reside.

Once landed.....your must maintain your Permanent Residency obligation.....reside in Canada 2 years in 5 year period.
