Hello fellow applicants,

I applied last February and I got this on the website recently:

We received your application for permanent residence on March 8, 2013.

That's it. No updates whatsoever and I am very worried. I have an immigration representative, and I think HE FAILED to update my status to married. (I got married to a citizen last July)

I am considering applying under the family class but it might take longer. Advice please!

Average processing times are posted as 13 months, you're not anywhere close to that. I know that
other FEB applicants already received MR and so on, but looks like you'll have to wait a little longer.
If you're not sure whether he updated CIC or not, ask him or contact CIC and check with them.

There's nothing to worry about - you may want to order gcms notes so you can see that your file has been updated and also where your file is up to. They will send the notes to you and not your rep

Keep forgetting about that. But yes, lpc is right, order GCMS notes and check what's the deal with
your application.

Thank you for your replies, it set my mind at peace.

Checked today and still the same, so maybe a few more months. How do we apply for gcmc?
